Mitsubishi Electric is pleased to announce the introduction of a selected Linear electric WasteGate Actuators (e-WGA) range, expanding access to a powertrain solution trusted by automotive manufacturers worldwide.
Built on long-standing experience in global powertrain programmes, Mitsubishi Electric’s e-WGA technology supports stable and precise boost control for modern turbocharged engines. With this introduction, the company aims to provide a reliable option for distributors who encounter existing demand for high-quality actuator replacements.
“We see an opportunity to offer OEM-grade technology to distributors who are looking to expand their portfolio with our reliable products,” said Rob Noon, Automotive Business Unit President at Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. “Starting with an initial lineup allows us to support the market in a measured way, ensuring quality and consistency from the very beginning and allow us to consider how to expand our lineup to support customer needs.”
Early availability will come from Mitsubishi Electric’s plant in Thailand, where production of these models is carried out. This ensures a stable and consistent supply for a controlled rollout, strengthening supply capability and supporting market growth.
The selected Linear e-WGA models incorporate Mitsubishi Electric’s in-house motor and mechanical design, developed to achieve high-precision valve operation control. The broader technology family includes multiple actuator types and configurations, though only a small lineup will be introduced at this stage.
This introduction provides the market with a high-quality actuator option for selected turbocharger applications, reinforcing Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to supporting distributors with dependable solutions aligned to powertrain requirements.
